Letter from the Archmage

Welcome! Does the sight of so many carrier pigeons in the sky above the town surprise you? It is more important than ever for us to know everything that is happening in the world. Why did you decide to become a Mage? Do you wish to possess limitless knowledge? You have chosen a difficult path. We humans do not have memories as strong as the elves, and it is therefore difficult for us to surpass them. Elves believe that only they can become true Mages. Do you have enough willpower to prove how deeply mistaken they are? I can see that your body is weak. Very well, I will take care of your equipment. Collect it from Lorraine, then go to the Master of Mages. He will teach you the basic spells. Oh, and come by for a cup of tea when you reach the heights of our art.
